I did manage to clean the house, work on an image at the Rotary Centre, do a submission, housework and some grocery shopping. Got up today and began to work but three days of migraine just wipes me out so gave up and went for a nap this morning…a morning nap. Geesh!

After that I got the house cleaned and loaded up the toxic waste items, recycling and things for the thrift shop to give away. Cameron is cutting down stretcher frames to size to put three of my canvases on the frames for preparation of Posh and my show in Summerland.

I was so half hearted that I couldn’t even interest myself in looking for new sheets and pillow cases. Why does everything cost so much? It is either cheap, made in China or outrageously expensive and made in China. Neither of the options appeals to me.

I got peas planted, the gardens watered and herb seeds planted yesterday. Waiting for the sun, the beautiful growth of plants, the bountiful surprise of color ( no matter how carefully planned) is the wonder of Spring. Gardening is such a practice of patience, anticipation and impulse that it is always an exercise in willfulness and surrender.
